eh i tried doing:
LIBS += "C:/curl-7.21.6-devel-mingw32/lib/libcurl.a"
and even:
LIBS += "C:/curl-7.21.6-devel-mingw32/lib/libcurldll.a"
(there is no .lib file in /lib/)
but neither work.
i changed my double forwardslashes to backslashes as well... but it
doesn't make any difference.
Oddly enough, doing:
LIBS += "C:/curl-7.21.6-devel-mingw32/bin/libcurl.dll"
lets it compile, but then it crashes when I try to run it with error: "During startup program exited with code 0x0000135."
I'm glad none of you have the answer. Makes me feel less stupid.
.... but seriously... this is such a basic task..... why is including an
external library so damn hard? I've used libcurl in C# and it wasn't
nearly as difficult.
And to those of you trying to get me to invoke qmake manually: fuck
that. It's a bug in qt creator if you have to invoke the command line to
include an external library.
