Ha! That's typical software engineers! Instead of fixing the REAL
problem - earth rotation! - they do crude workarounds, which complicate
matters even more!

p.s. Sorry if I stole some valuable time from you by making you read
this post - but the good thing is you can "gain" those seconds again, by
travelling westwards (or was it eastwards? Or was that the daytime
savings thingy? Ahhhh... ;)
