Sorry for not having a precise answers for you yet. I think weeks would be a useful unit of measure in this case.

Does anyone know when 4.8.0 is likely to arrive?

I'm not desperate for it, but I do need to decide whether to get started
with the RC or wait for the final build.

Are we talking days? weeks? a month?

Any insight better than "when it's ready" would be helpful.
