Anyone else seeing a "visual regression" on Mac when using the Lion fullscreen feature?
It worked okay with the previous 4.8 beta, but now it seems that the mainwindow content (geometry) is only updated AFTER the animation to fullscreen has finished, leading to ugly visual artifacts.
What's more, the *native* toolbar seems to work even more unreliable in combination with the Lion fullscreen feature, e.g. going fullscreen, hiding the toolbar (via user action in menu and triggering the usual Qt API to hide a widget), going back to normal screen and then trying to show the toolbar again fails. The toolbar won't become visible, even though the Qt API claims it is. Toogling between all sorts of combinations (fullscreen/normal and hide/show toolbar) sometimes makes the toolbar visible again, but sometimes the tool icons are missing. Once I even noticed a "garbage toolbar" ("green noise on black background" or so), as if a buffer hadn't been properly initialised.
As I also updated to OS X 10.7.2 I can't tell for sure whether it is really due to the update to the RC, but recompiling with an older Qt 4.7.3 works as expected: geometry of the main window content is nicely updated before the "cross-fade zoom" animation when going fullscreen.
I'll file a bug report. Anyone else has seen this so far?
Cheers, Oliver
