Hi All,
I overheard that now days developing on Linux is possible for
Symbian. When doing a bit of googling of how to make the deployment
process and building automatic I stumbled upon:
1) Instructions to enable remote compiler support, which in my
understanding sends the package to be built into SIS to Nokia
Developer and makes it a proper Symbian SIS.
2) Set up your environment to deploy to Symbian, for this I found this
two links:
(Please tell me that this is old not just due to the date, but also
due to the fact this is un-needed today and happens automatically
while installing the SDK... :))
To my uneducated guess, it seems that deployment to an S^3 device is
still a manual process? I do hope it is wrong, but if not, where would
be the canonical documentation to tell you how to set up your Ubuntu
or whatever distro in use to develop, deploy and debug Qt apps on
Symbian?
Many thanks in advance!
