[Qt-interest] QMetaType::type succeeds or fails seemingly

To further answer my question:

Q_DECLARE_METATYPE has not been executed yet when I reached my first
QMetaType::type call in my original sample. Therefore, the type was not
yet known.

Which brings up the question: When does Q_DECLARE_METATYPE run, and how
do I make it run?
