[Qt-interest] How To Embed a Youtube Video in a Qt mobile application?

Sarvesh:
Symbian was certainly supporting FlashLite at least up until quite
recently; it was responsible for many of the crashes that the
Nokia's Symbian Web Browser Group had to debug. One of
the principal reasons they provided FlashLite support at all
was so YouTube videos could be played on the phones.
Meanwhile, where's WebKits H.264/"HTML 5" video support these
days? With FlashLite passing into history and Flash itself becoming
less and less popular, shouldn't you be thinking about more-modern
HTML5 alternatives?

Hi,
I tried using QWebView. Unfortunately it looks like flash (11) is not supported for Symbian (that's the error message I see on the view).
Any other ideas? I basically need to support Anna, Belle and MeeGo devices. I wonder if embedding an HTML5 Youtube video (iFrame embed code) would work? Another easier alternative would be to invoke the native you tube player (I'm not sure how to achieve that).
thanks,
Sarvesh

You can load the YouTube SWF player using a flash plugin...inside
webkit (via QWebView), provided you have the flash 10.1 plugin for
your platform.
