Subject: Qml WebView performance issues -- how to address?
Date: Mon, 19 Apr 2010 15:04:50 -0700
Hello
I've implemented a simple web browser in QML using WebView, with a flickable user interface.
On our target platform we are experiencing performance issues. However, if I run Firefox I don't see any such issues with performance (although in both cases the CPU is pretty high).
I was wondering what options there might be for addressing the performance in the QML Browser with respect to our target platform:
Intel Atom Menlow platform with
the Intel IEGD Driver v10.2. 1 Gig of RAM Moblin IVI v2.1 (Linux OS)
Note that on my Ubuntu VM it seems to run fine, but then that's on a whole different set of hardware, so it's not really a good comparison.
ThanksPeter
