Hmmm....  progress...
I just received an email update regarding moblin and the now-available packages for the mesa-iegd-gl pacakages.

After installing these I am now able to get past the "opengl" build errors , at least during the "configure" step. It takes a while to build Qt (a good few hours in total), but I'll post the outcome in the hopes that this might help someone else trying to do the same thing...

ThanksPeter

Subject: [Qt-qml] Using OPEN GL with Qt

I was trying to build a sample app with the OpenGL library but I got the following error:
    --> cannot find -lQtOpenGL

I did some research and it looks like I have to build Qt with "Open Gl" enabled. So I tried rebuilding Qt from source** but get the following error:
    --> All the OpenGL functionality tests failed!

I've verified, to the best of my ability, that the pre-requisite packages are already in place as well as the GL header files, etc. Maybe I am missing something, but here's the environment I am operating under:

    --> Intel Atom Menlow Z530 (1.6GHz) CPU & US15W chipset (GMA
500 Graphics)
    --> Qt 4.7 Technology Preview
    --> ./configure -I /usr/include/GL -I /usr/include/X11 -L /usr/lib -opengl -graphicssystem opengl

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Peter
