Just be aware that asking users to install plugins that can load ARBITRARY data off the network is prettu unreasonable. It's not like a PDF plugin or such. QML can do all sorts of wild stuff and right now there is no facility to limit it in any way.
A QML application should be thought of as equivalent to a native application. You couldn't ask someone to install an "EXE Plugin", so be careful asking them to do the same for QML.
Import restrictions and other controls will come eventually I'm sure, but not in 4.7.x.
