Because he has launched 'tvtennis' probably with the qmlviewer bundled with creator, 
which comes along with it's own multimedia.dll library, placed in the application
directory.

His own app, however, has it's own main.cpp, isn't stored in 
C:/Qt/qtcreator-1.3.83/bin, and therefore the multimedia.dll isn't picked up either.

The order in which import libraries are searched is right now:

 1. QApplication::applicationDirPath()
 2. $QML_IMPORT_PATH (environment variable)
 3. QLibraryInfo::ImportsPath (usually $QTDIR/imports)
