Thanks for the answer!  Yes, I'll add a suggestion.

As an aside, for my particular problem, I decided
I don't really want to set a binding *inside* the
Javascript.  (Maybe other designs might want it,
but I decided I don't for this problem.)

So, I'm still a-rockin-and-a-rollin.  ;-))
