[Qt-qml] Image Borders Show Artifacts Using QGLWidget

I am currently having problems with certain images in my application
showing artifacts around the edges when I use a QGLWidget for the
viewport. Example in attached image (white vertical lines). It is
currently adjusting for antialiasing and when I pass in the hint
DontAdjustForAntialiasing the problem is worse. The documentation
states it is expanded by 2 pixels in all directions when adjusting for
antialiasing, could that not be enough in my case? Or, maybe it is
completely unrelated to this feature.
Thanks,
Mike
