The question, of course, is the performance under those circumstances.
For safe mode, performance obviously doesn't count. VESA shouldn't either.
If you're designing for a GL-free system, then you design your eyecandy with
that in mind.
Also, with Qt Quick 2 on Scene Graph, the animations and whizbang will
gracefully degrade, as they are vsync-driven. If you can't paint more than
1fps, then 1fps is all you get.
