Qt has supported real 64-bit environments for well over 6 years. Even Qt 3
supported them.

That's up to whomever builds the libraries. All Linux distributions build Qt
in 64-bit mode for their 64-bit flavours.
Renaming the libraries to achieve that is not a good idea. The library path
changes instead.

That's an SDK question. We already ship 64-bit builds for Linux and Mac OS X.
And we should start building in 64-bit mode for Windows too, I agree.

I think you forgot to mention "Windows" somewhere in your email up to here.
What you say may be relevant for Windows, but it's definitely not generic.

I think it's useful to have a standard build people can rely on, but there's
nothing we can do to prevent any user of Qt from patching it and shipping
that. So it's really Autodesk's choice whether they want to do it.
