I think we are very receptive to changes, and many of us are avid Qt
users. I would certainly love to see Qt move to CMake, and it would
help me to use Qt in more places. I am not a core CMake developer, but
I know quite a few of them. I am subscribed to this list and the open
governance list, although unfortunately cannot make the event in June.
I should be at the Desktop Summit in August, and would love to talk
about this more in person. It would be a great opportunity to outline
what more is needed in CMake, significant work was done to support
KDE's use of CMake. Even before I got to Kitware I realized that I
could spend more time writing my application code and have it work
across platforms if I used CMake.
Thanks,
Marcus
