[Qt5-feedback] new Qt5 - great! - but: What about exceptions?

If you don't add exceptions, could you at least add the ability to transport exceptions across thread boundaries?

Qt should remain mostly source compatible.

Adding exception safety is fine. Are you volunteering?

Changing Qt code to throw exceptions everywhere as a means of error-reporting isn't acceptable. That requires too many code changes in the applications' 
code.
