Thanks for sharing that link, Dima.

From my experience, as a rule of thumb, the Google style guide contains 
pretty good advice including solid reasoning when it comes to what features 
of the language to use and which not to use to create portable and high 
performance code. [And that's not exactly surprising given that this is
their "bread and butter" business...]
