[QtonPi] QtonPi shipping update - 23 August

Hello all,

After a period of non-communication with Farnell due to my primary contact's vacation, I've been able to resume interactions with them, and due to the volume of concerns that you all have expressed, they are now working on a very detailed review of the status of every order.  I'm happy, but also disappointed, to report that their initial findings indicate that almost half of our shipments have not yet been made!  I'll know more by end of next week, but I wanted you all to know this, so that you might worry less about orders being lost.

I'll report more when I know more, but for the moment, if you've not yet received your kit, I believe the chances are high that it's not been shipped.  Furthermore, if you've not received your kit and your address has changed, pleased let me know of your new address details.  Farnell has agreed to accept address changes provided by me to them, if the shipment has not yet gone out.

I'm sorry for the continuing troubles, but I now have a high degree of confidence that we'll soon achieve resolution.

I'm in London for a month and my delivery adress is in France.
You guys have any idea what I can do to get my pi ?
Nobody can get it for me since I live alone :/ and I don't know if UPS tried to deliver it to me yet ...
so the question is : what can i do ?

If I were you, I would try to contact UPS, explain the situation and wask for instructions. Tracking number would be a great help but it seems they are not available to us, so maybe they can help just with your full name and address.

I have had good success with the available libqt4-dev debian package. Now what is the simplest way of getting Qt5 on raspberian?
Or is the simplest way to use the qtonpi-0.2.tar.bz2 image?
