Hii,

there isn't any information about this in qt-everywhere-opensource-src-5.0.0-rc1.zip and there is no requirements-win.html file in the source package.
The README in the top directory mentions the system requirements perl, python and c++ compiler for C++98. It also contains a link to http://qt-project.org/wiki/Get_The_Source.
I did not find anything about ruby there. A web search for ruby site:q-project.org/doc/qt-5.0 also did not find anything useful.

Best regards,

According to the docs in the binary package, Ruby should be documented:
C:\qt\Qt5.0.0-rc1-368\5.0.0-rc1\msvc2010\doc\qtdoc[x86]> grep ruby *
requirements-win.html:<li>Install <a href="http://www.ruby-lang.org">Ruby</a> from <a href="http://rubyinstaller.org/">here</a> and add the
installation location to your PATH in order to be able to build QtWebKit.</li>

Can you double-check this?

For the other issues, please report to http://bugreports.qt-project.org

Subject: [Releasing] Still problems with Qt-5.0.0 RC1 with VS2010 on Windows7

There are still problems with compiling qt-everywhere-opensource-src-5.0.0-rc1.zip with VS2010:

- ruby is required (undocumented)

- "configure" with "nmake" fails when building module-qtwebkit-examples-and-demos with:
             link /NOLOGO /DYNAMICBASE /NXCOMPAT /DEBUG /SUBSYSTEM:WINDOWS "/MANIFESTDEPENDENCY:type='win32' name='Microsoft.Windows.Common-Controls' version='6.0.0.0' publicKeyToken='6595b64144ccf1df' language='*' processorArchitecture='*'" /MANIFEST /MANIFESTFILE:debug\imageanalyzer.exe.embed.manifest /OUT:debug\imageanalyzer.exe @C:\Users\muh\AppData\Local\Temp\nm95D4.tmp
imageanalyzer.obj : error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol "__declspec(dllimport) public: void __thiscall QtPrivate::ExceptionStore::throwPossibleException(void)const " (__imp_?throwPossibleException at ExceptionStore@QtPrivate@@QBEXXZ) referenced in function "public: class QList<unsigned int> __thiscall QFutureInterface<unsigned int>::results(void)" (?results@?$QFutureInterface at I@@QAE?AV?$QList at I@@XZ)
debug\imageanalyzer.exe : fatal error LNK1120: 1 unresolved externals

- "configure -nomake examples" tries to build module-qtwebkit-examples-and-demos

- Documentation is not built (with the exception of assistant.qch)

Best regards
