I downloaded http://releases.qt-project.org/qt4/source/qt-everywhere-opensource-src-4.8.3.tar.gz and all the files have those markers.

http://releases.qt-project.org/qt4/source/qt-everywhere-opensource-src-4.6.4.tar.gz also has the markers.

So I guess this is the right thing for Qt.

OTOH, http://releases.qt-project.org/qtcreator/2.6.0/qt-creator-2.6.0-src.tar.gz does *not* have them though.
