Due to the mac issue it may well be that we need to open up Pandora's box
and hook into a new SHA1. That said, the preference is not to jump to new
SHA1 as it means prolonged testing for the release. But as you remember
our agreed procedure for 4.8 is still to release directly from the branch
so it may be needed.

PS. Other than the mac issue things looked very good for the candidate
4.8.4
