Meeting minutes from Qt Release Team meeting 30th June 2015

Qt 5.5.0 status:
- All expected content is in and Qt 5.5.0 will be released Wednesday 1.7.2015
  * As a known issue Multimedia plugins are missing from the Linux installers (https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-46276 )
  * Issue to be fixed as Qt 5.5.0-1 Linux installers or in Qt 5.5.1

(5:03:40 PM) akseli: Qt 5.5.0 snapshot build with final Qt content was 'announced' to be available on Monday morning
(5:03:46 PM) akseli: So far we aware not of release blocker level bug on Qt itself
(5:04:01 PM) akseli: We have one packaging related issue open https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-46276 'Multimedia plugins are missing from the Linux 5.5.0-RC packages'
(5:04:10 PM) akseli: but are working on to get this Linux installer issue fixed (Mac OS X and Windows installers are ok).
(5:04:37 PM) akseli: Meanwhile proposal is that we will release Qt 5.5.0 during Wednesday 1.7. 
(5:04:44 PM) akseli: We have a dependency to marketing and sales related items, so it is of crucial importance to get the release out tomorrow.
(5:04:55 PM) akseli: If QTBUG-46276 is fixed by then we will update installers asap

(5:06:10 PM) kkoehne: Sure. Question is whether we could also live with QTBUG-46276 ?

(5:08:02 PM) ZapB: how abotu listing it as a know issue and a new package will be provided asap

(5:10:27 PM) kkoehne: Alright, so let's hope this works until tomorrow. If not, I'd release anyway
(5:10:33 PM) akseli: if possible we will have 5.5.0-1 as base plan and have known issue QTBUG-46726 until that (or fix in 5.1.1 in worst case scenario) sounds like decision

(5:14:41 PM) tuturune_: Please discuss Qt 5.7 timing. I sent proposal to releasing list. I woudl like to release in April. So feature free early enough to for sure get release by end of April, preferable earlier.
