Meeting minutes from Qt Release Team meeting 4th April 2017

Qt 5.9.0 Beta status:
- Beta content in place, RTA smoke test ongoing
- When RTA smoke tests done & OK we ill put packages publicly visible & run full RTA
- If all ok we will publish these packages as Qt 5.9 beta 
   * Target still during this week
   * As informed earlier beta will be available via online installers only + of course separate src packages but no offline installers (except QNX which isn't available via online at the moment)

Release process update:
- We will use new process after beta release as proposed in http://lists.qt-project.org/pipermail/development/2017-March/029243.html

[17:05:01] <jaheikki3> We should have beta content in place now. All beta blockers should have a fix available
[17:05:34] <jaheikki3> packages are in staging server & under RTA smoke test
[17:05:54] <jaheikki3> If smoke tests are OK we will update packages in the production & run full RTA
[17:06:28] <jaheikki3> ANd if all still ok we will release current packages as Qt 5.9.0 beta

[17:14:56] <fkleint> That is, will there be an online installer for the noncommercial packages,too?
[17:16:12] <jaheikki3> fkleint: yes, it is already available. Everyone can use normal unified online installer to get packages. If you have enterprise account you will get enterprise packages and if not then you will get OS one

[17:19:18] <jaheikki3> And as I wrote we will try to release new betas quite reqularly so there should be several betas before official RC
[17:21:36] <jaheikki3> And we will release new betas when enough new content in & packages OK, without asking 'ok' from this meeting. Releasing RC will be agreed in this meeting of course
