Meeting minutes from Qt Release Team meeting 16th October 2018

Qt 5.12 status:
- Soft string freeze announced last Thu, official string freeze will be in effect this Fri
- Beta2 released today
   * Please test beta2 now; we need to get all 5.12 blockers visible in blocker list (https://bugreports.qt.io/issues/?filter=19961) immediately.
- Target is to start branching from 5.12 -> 5.12.0 during next week,  get RC out 15.11.2018 (latest) and final at the end of November

Qt 5.9.7 status: 
- We should have all needed changes for the release finally in
- qt5.git integration is ongoing. When it is integrated we will start creating release packages
- Target is to get release out as soon as possible; let's see if that can happen already during this week or not
