Please look into this urgently. The broken dependency tree on Windows
has rendered the online installer completely unusable.

The current workarounds promoted on the forum are:
* Download an older version of the installer

or
* Use the offline installer

Root cause behind the issue was different than on previous release so mitigative actions are also different.

But yes, we will improve our RTA to catch this kind of problems

- Alpha snapshot available and testing ongoing
- Unfortunately new blocker found: compilation from release src packages seems to fail, see QTBUG-70056 & QTBUG-69874.
   * Fix proposal is already available: https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/c/239424/
- Target is to create new alpha packages immediately when fix is in, run RTA & put Alpha finally out
   * Let's see if that can still happen during this week
- API review still ongoing. Many submodules has already '+2' but many still missing it, see https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/q/status:open+branch:5.12+topic:api-review,n,z
   * Hoping we can finalize API review soon

Qt 5.11.2 status:
- We have "RC" packages available  & RTA is ongoing

- Target is to get the fix in and create new release packages as soon as possible. Then new RTA round & release out if all OK

- Preparations for the release to be started when 5.11.2 is out
   * Branching from '5.9' -> '5.9.7' to be started later this week

Hi all,

We have soft branched '5.9.7' from '5.9' today. Final downmerge from '5.9' to '5.9.7' will happen Mon 1.10.2018. So there should be enough time to finalize ongoing changes in '5.9' and start using '5.9.7' for new changes targeted to Qt 5.9.7 release.

Our target is to get Qt 5.9.7 release out as soon as possible. Hoping that can happen during week 41.
