Meeting minutes from Qt Release Team meeting 26th February 2019
Qt 5.13:
- According to schedule beta1 should be released today. Unfortunately it is delayed due to qt5.git integration issues
* We haven't been able to produce any new snapshot since alpha release
- API review is still ongoing, see https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-73484
* We won't block beta1 because of missing/incomplete API review; It is enough to finalize those during beta phase
- Most of beta1 blockers already fixed, see https://bugreports.qt.io/issues/?filter=20537
* Only item missing a fix is QTBUG-71125: Update Visual Studio 2017 in CI from 15.1 to 15.7
** This is preventing us to compile QtWebEngine binaries for windows
- Target is to get beta1 out as soon as possible. Most probably it won't happen during this week but let's see
Qt 5.12.2:
- Unfortunately release content isn't in place yet; couple of changes files still under work, see https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/q/message:%22Add+changes+file+for+Qt+5.12.2%22,n,z
- All known release blockers fixed, see https://bugreports.qt.io/issues/?filter=20548
- Unfortunately qt5.git integrations are blocked in CI atm -> we can't get snapshot packages for testing
--> It will be hard to get release out during this week as planned
* What is needed for the release (at least):
** Remaining changes files in
** Qt5.git integration
** Test round (RTA + manual test at least for mobile ones)

[17:05:51] <jaheikki3_> Target is to get beta1 out as soon as possible. Most probably it won't happen during this week but let's see
[17:06:20] <jaheikki3_> That's all about 5.13 status at this time. Any comments or questions?
[17:06:57] <thiago> we should test against 2019 preview too
[17:07:57] <jaheikki3_> thiago: that's true. I'll discuss about it with hehalmet_ tomorrow. But that won't block beta1
[17:08:07] <thiago> agreed
[17:08:22] <thiago> I don't know when the release dates for 2019 are, but we should be more or less ready for it

[17:11:57] <jaheikki3_> Run test round (RTA + manual test at least for mobile ones)
[17:12:16] <jaheikki3_> So let's see when we have ready for release
