[17:06:24] <jaheikki3_> All other beta1 blockers should be fixed

[17:07:40] <thiago> why?
[17:07:44] <thiago> any difficulty?
[17:08:20] <jaheikki3_> Failing test 6 some weird issues when provisoning update
[17:08:51] <jaheikki3_> In theory all should be OK but CI is a bit difficult :(
[17:09:18] <jaheikki3_> Heikki has been trying to get update in few weeks already now
[17:09:33] <jaheikki3_> --> I propose we don't block beta1 anymore because of QTBUG-71125 (& missing webengine from windows prebuild packages) but publish beta1 based on https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/c/255306/
[17:09:33] <jaheikki3_> as soon as possible and fix QTBUG-71125 in coming Beta N
[17:09:34] <qt_gerrit> jaheikki3_: [qt/qt5/5.13] Update submodules on '5.13' in qt5 from Qt Submodule Update Bot - https://codereview.qt-project.org/255306 (MERGED)
[17:09:34] <qt_gerrit> jaheikki3_: Update Visual Studio 2017 in CI from 15.1 to 15.7 - https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-71125 (In Progress)
[17:09:34] <qt_gerrit> jaheikki3_: Update Visual Studio 2017 in CI from 15.1 to 15.7 - https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-71125 (In Progress)
[17:10:26] <thiago> ok, I suppose we can release beta1 with components missing
[17:10:32] <thiago> but we need them in a beta
[17:11:53] <jaheikki3_> yeah, I agree. I would like to get that fixed in beta1 already but it is better to get beta1 out now without more delay.
[17:12:24] <ankokko_> +1
[17:13:06] <jaheikki3_> Ok, this was all about 5.13 at this time. Any other comments or questions?
[17:14:58] <jaheikki3_> It was all at this time. Let's end this meeting now & have new one tue 19th March as planned
[17:15:04] <thiago> yes, one question:
[17:15:11] <jaheikki3_> Ok, shoot
[17:15:18] <thiago> how can someone get access to the 5.12.2 sources to help final testing?
[17:17:19] <jaheikki3_> thiago: At the moment only option is to pull '5.12.2' head from git; packages aren't yet publicly available. But latest snapshot is available in online installer (src packages as well) & it is almost final; only 2 changes are missing
[17:18:15] <thiago> the point was trying to build the exact sources to see if there are problems
[17:18:21] <thiago> using git means I don't use the exact sources
[17:18:29] <thiago> ok, so I won't be trying to build until after the release
[17:19:16] <jaheikki3_> thiago: Only https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/c/254991/, https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/c/255186/ & https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/c/255187/ are missing from src package available in online installer
[17:19:17] <qt_gerrit> thiago: [qt/qtbase/5.12.2] xcb: check for nullptr when reading AT_SPI_BUS property from Gatis Paeglis - https://codereview.qt-project.org/254991 (MERGED)
[17:19:17] <qt_gerrit> thiago: [qt/qtwebengine/5.12.2] Fix incrementing download ID from Allan Sandfeld Jensen - https://codereview.qt-project.org/255186 (MERGED)
[17:19:17] <qt_gerrit> thiago: [qt/qtwebengine/5.12.2] Update Chromium from Allan Sandfeld Jensen - https://codereview.qt-project.org/255187 (MERGED)
[17:20:46] <thiago> online installer not acceptable
[17:20:49] <thiago> I need the exact .tar.xz
[17:21:22] <ericLemanissier> same here
[17:22:00] <jaheikki3_> That will be available of course with the release as usual
[17:23:35] <thiago> yep, but we will only be able to find issues after the relase
[17:23:47] <jaheikki3_> thiago: ericLemanissier: I can put it visible already now even official release will happen tomorrow. It will be in download.qt.io ~ hour
[17:24:06] <thiago> ok, I can look into trying to build it
[17:24:17] <thiago> takes about 16 minutes to build the entire Qt in my system
[17:25:44] <ericLemanissier> suggestion: put the snapshots in http://download.qt.io/snapshots/qt/
[17:26:35] <thiago> for future releases, I think we could discuss a pre-release access so others ca help in testing. And packagers can begin building (not that it'll save them more than a day)
[17:28:15] <jaheikki3_> yeah, true. As ericLemanissier proposed we could start again using http://download.qt.io/snapshots/qt/ to share pre-release src packages. That was in the use earlier & shouldn't be that big issue to start doing again
[17:28:18] <ericLemanissier> that would ease the testing without waiting for random unrelated issues being fixed
[17:28:31] <ericLemanissier> great !
[17:29:11] <thiago> thanks
[17:29:21] <jaheikki3_> I'll put current src package there now
[17:29:55] <jaheikki3_> Let's end this meeting now. Thanks for your participation!
[17:30:04] <ankokko_> thanks, bye
[17:44:35] <jaheikki3_> src packages are uploading in http://download.qt.io/snapshots/qt/5.12.2/
