Meeting minutes from Qt Release Team meeting Tue 3rd August 2021

Qt 6.2 status:
- Beta2 released, beta3 preparations started
   * Beta3 target 17th August 
- RC target 14th September, RC blocker list here: https://bugreports.qt.io/issues/?filter=23260
- String freeze will be in effect  ~ mid August
   * Soft string freeze will be announced Fri 6th August
- Qt 6.2 API review still ongoing
   * Details in https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-94407

Qt 6.1 status:
- Qt 6.1.2 released at the beginning of July
- Qt 6.1.3 preparations started
   * target is to release Qt 6.1.3 ~ at the end of August
   * Branching from '6.1' to '6.1.3' will happen Fri 13th August
   * 6.1.3 will be the last release from Qt 6.1 series

[17:06:42] <The-Compiler> Do you have any idea how things are going with the QtWebEngine API review follow ups? At which point can I expect the API to be more or less stable?
[17:08:00] <jaheikki3> The-Compiler: to be honest I am not fully up to date with API review status at the moment. I know it is still ongoing, see https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-94407
[17:08:34] <jaheikki3> But we are already in beta phase so API should be stabilizing
