irc log below:
[17:00:39] <jaheikki3_> ablasche: akseli: carewolf: lars_:mapaaso: thiago ping
[17:00:48] <carewolf> pong
[17:00:51] <akseli> pong
[17:01:29] <thiago> jaheikki3_: pong
[17:01:56] <jaheikki3_> Time to start qt release team meeting
[17:02:04] <jaheikki3_> On agenda today:
[17:02:09] <jaheikki3_> Qt 6.3 status
[17:02:14] <jaheikki3_> Qt 6.2 status
[17:02:23] <jaheikki3_> Any additional item to the agenda?
[17:03:00] <lars_> pong
[17:03:55] <jaheikki3_> let's start from Qt 6.3. status
[17:04:07] <jaheikki3_> Qt 6.3.0 Feature Freeze in effect
[17:04:30] <jaheikki3_> There were few exceptions granted
[17:04:47] <jaheikki3_> Branching from 'dev' to '6.3' target done
[17:04:57] <jaheikki3_> Done I meant
[17:05:45] <jaheikki3_> Target is to release Qt 6.3.0 Alpha as soon as possible, let's see if we can get it out still before christmas
[17:06:42] <jaheikki3_> There is still issues with dependency update round. Staging is now temporarily restricted to be able unblock the dependency update round
[17:07:14] <jaheikki3_> That's pretty much all about Qt 6.3 status at this time. Any comments or questions?
[17:08:44] <thiago> not from me
[17:08:47] <jaheikki3_> Ok, then Qt 6.2 status
[17:08:53] <thiago> I still need help with the Android breakages
[17:09:02] <thiago> I'm assuming the QFactoryLoader changes aren't "feature" so they can still go in
[17:09:10] <thiago> the CBOR and JSON updates will wait for 6.4
[17:10:22] <jaheikki3_> thiago: ok, do you already have somebody helping with that android stuff?
[17:10:59] <lars_> Yeah, QFL changes aren't a new feature
[17:11:00] <thiago> yes, assam
[17:11:30] <jaheikki3_> great
[17:11:53] <jaheikki3_> ok, then Qt 6.2 status
[17:12:00] <jaheikki3_> Qt 6.2.3 release preparations started
[17:12:02] <thiago> but when do I need to get them in?
[17:12:08] <thiago> because the turnaround time is pretty poor right now
[17:12:17] <thiago> in other words, when's beta?
[17:12:43] <jaheikki3_> thiago: beta1 is planned to be release ~ mid january 2022
[17:13:43] <thiago> ok, I'll let you know if we need more time
[17:14:15] <jaheikki3_> Ok, let's check that later
[17:15:00] <jaheikki3_> Version number bump from 6.2.2 to 6.2.3 (in 6.2 branch) is ongoing
[17:15:27] <jaheikki3_> And the target is to create the first Qt 6.2.3 snapshot immediately after version bumps are in
[17:16:15] <thiago> I assume Daniel's changes to update to 6.3 in the 6.2 branch were incorrect
[17:16:22] <thiago> Gerrit doesn't like when I click the link
[17:16:42] <jaheikki3_> The goal is to release Qt 6.2.3 18th January so we need to start branching from 6.2 to 6.2.3 quite soon after New Year
[17:17:33] <jaheikki3_> thiago: I am not sure which changes you are referring but I'll check
[17:17:53] <jaheikki3_> But sounds a bit weird and incorrect
[17:18:22] <thiago> https://codereview.qt-project.org/c/qt/qtbase/+/386111
[17:18:58] <jaheikki3_> It seems the change is gone; i get '404 not found'
[17:19:11] <thiago> yeah, I don't know how you can erase your mistakes like that :)
[17:19:29] <thiago> I just pointed out in case they were actually done and we accidentally had updated to 6.3 in 6.2 branch
[17:19:44] <jaheikki3_> :D
[17:20:18] <jaheikki3_> No, that isn't the case
[17:20:41] <jaheikki3_> I think it was all about 6.2.3 at this time. Any more comments or questions?
[17:22:28] <jaheikki3_> Ok, lets then end this meeting now & have new one Tue 21st December at this same time
[17:22:38] <jaheikki3_> Thanks for your participation, bye
[17:24:50] <thiago> do we need one next week?
[17:25:28] <carewolf> I think the next one would 4/1 or 11/1?
[17:25:58] <thiago> I can join, but wondering if we need the meeting. Do we have anything to discuss?
[17:26:11] <thiago> 6.2.3 and 6.3 aren't coming out until mid-January
[18:23:50] <jaheikki3_> Ok, le
[18:24:28] <jaheikki3_> Heh. Let's skip next weeks meeting & have next one tue 4th January 2022
