Meeting minutes from Qt Release Team meeting Tue 23rd February 2021

Qt 6.0.x status:
- Qt 6.0.2 release preparations started
   * No snapshot available yet; we need full dependency update round to be finished before we can build the snapshot
- Target is to create the snapshot as soon as possible and run RTA
   * If all OK we will freeze the Qt 6.0.2 content & publish the release as soon as possible
      ** Target is to get the release out during the first week of March

Qt 6.1 status:
- Alpha released
- API review started
- Target is to release Beta1 as soon as possible
   * We won't block beta1 because of ongoing tools renaming discussion. But needed changes for that needs to be done before last beta release

Qt 5.12.10 schedule:
- Qt 5.12.11 release is planned to be released ~ mid may

[17:05:58] <jaheikki3>  Target is to create the first snapshot as soon as possible and RTA test it

[17:11:59] <thiago> I think releasing a later beta with this important change is misleading
[17:12:56] <jaheikki3> Well, on the other hand missing that change doesn't block anyone to test beta and I think that is most important for the final release

[17:14:18] <jaheikki3> So we need to release at least one beta after the change
[17:14:37] <jaheikki3> But that isn't anything new; we are planning to release several betas anyway as usual
[17:15:37] <jaheikki3> So I proposo to release beta1 as soon as possible and try to push that change ready as soon as possible as well
