Meeting minutes from Qt Release Team meeting Tue 14th June 2022

Qt 6.3:
- Qt 6.3.1 released
- Qt 6.3.2 release target mid August 2022

Qt 6.4:
- Qt 6.4 FF in effect & branching from 'dev' to '6.4' done
- Qt 6.4.0 Beta1 content in place & release packages created
   * Testing ongoing
   * Target is to release Qt 6.4.0 Beta1 later this week
- Target is to release Qt 6.4.0 beta2 ~ mid July
- API change review preparations ongoing
   * Target is to start Qt 6.4.0 API change review later this week

Qt 6.2 commercial LTS:
- Qt 6.2.5 will use Qt  Webengine from '6.3' and so on '6.2' branch from Qt Webengine will be closed; it will be unmaintained
- first dependency update round in commercial 6.2 branch finally succeed & snapshot creation ongoing
- Current release target for Qt 6.2.5 commercial LTS is 30th June

[17:07:09] <jaheikki3> Branching from 'dev' to '6.4' done and feature freeze in effect
[17:07:16] <jaheikki3> Beta1 preparations ongoing

[17:08:04] <jaheikki3> Package testing ongoing
[17:08:19] <jaheikki3> If all ok we will release Qt 6.4.0 Beta1 later this week

[17:09:13] <frkleint> wohohoho what about the feature freeze exceptions , stirng converters etc? Has API review started yet?

[17:10:35] <jaheikki3> We won't block beta1 or API review because of missing exceptions etc; those will be in later betas

[17:14:45] <jaheikki3> first dependency update round in tqtc/lts-6.2 finally succeed
[17:15:00] <jaheikki3> And creating first snapshot ongoing
[17:15:50] <jaheikki3> if snapshot seems to be OK we will start branching from tqtc/lts-6.2 to tqtc/lts-6.2.5 
[17:16:25] <carewolf> we were talking about closing the 6.2 branch for webengine since we now use 6.3 branch with lts-6.2, and it will be unmaintained
