That's what I suggested. Having a submodule inside the module you're working 
on makes it very hard to keep a handful of changes you don't want to or can't 
upstream. I've been running all my Qt versions like that for over a year.

*BUT*

I usually don't work in qtdeclarative.git. So I wouldn't oppose putting it 
there. It's just a recommendation for those who do work there :-)
