CMake uses qmake for Qt 4. Not for Qt 5, which is what we're talking about 
here, so it's still irrelevant.

That's a very bad attitude to have. 

It's something we've seen before though. The situation with using PCRE in Qt 
was discussed but not taken to the PCRE developers until I took it to them 
http://bugs.exim.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1049. 

I don't know if Casper ever tried to get in touch with Dimitri of doxygen, but 
when Fredrich did recently, Dimitri 'responded quickly and friendly.'

This mailing list is not an ivory tower. When the topic is broader than this 
mailing list, it is easily shown that reaching out works, and not reaching out 
does not work.

You need to reach out if you want to re-write the book.

These lists are too noisy for anyone who is not developing Qt itself.

I'd really prefer Qt project to be known for reaching out instead of being 
known for lots of talk on development@, not reaching out ever, and expecting 
everyone to come here. That is just a very non-collaborative attitude.
