That change was made in August 2010, before the release of Qt 4.7. It was not 
submited in the stable branch because 4.7 was already feature frozen, and that 
fix is not a regression, and not critical.

My opinion is that Qt 4.7 is old and I don't really care about it at this 
point. If someone want bug fixes, they should get the latest Qt 4.8.x instead.

/me remembers a joke he did in the Nokia's dev mailinglist proposing to merge 
the master branch (4.8) into Qt 4.7.4 as Qt 4.7.4 was getting more and more 
features.
