Docs on qt-project are usually updated at every release. As that
commit is post-4.8.4, and 4.8.5 hasn't been released yet, that's why
you don't see the changes there.

http://doc-snapshot.qt-project.org/4.8/qsettings.html is instead
recreated nightly or so, so you'll see the note added in that commit.
