Hi André

Without agreeing or disagreeing to your arguments, nor even emitting an 
opinion on them, let's just take them for granted and analyse the situation. 
If you're right, we need a powerful C++ API for doing what currently can only 
be done in QML and is being proposed to be done only in QML.

I'm arguing we have no such API (read: it's not QtWidgets!). So we have two 
options: create and develop it, or not. The question is: if we need to 
implement it, do we need to implement it before the QML API?
