280 and 281 are dust-offs of code I've had for some time but had never 
submitted for review. It's good to get them out in the open.

I'll write QOptional tomorrow or on Wednesday, after I've had the chance to 
read the proposal to C++14 (that was dropped). But I fear I won't have the 
time to solve the issue of mixing it with QVariant properly before the feature 
freeze.
