So far Enginio has a tiny subset of an actual websocket implementation, independent of this module. We will port Enginio over to use the websockets module as an additional test case and hopefully just drop our own incomplete implementation. Since we are working on expanding the cloud offering for Qt, this project is a great addition in our opinion. We are convinced that adding websocket support to Qt makes sense.
