but in reality, as long as there is no competing free product that permits
digia to satisfy its (l)gpl-averse customers as well, the qt project will
welcome such an effort, even if i personally wouldn't recommend
duplicating the work.

(an interesting situation arises if somebody wants to contribute
something that directly competes with one of digia's completely
proprietary products ... there is little alternative to accepting it
grudgingly)
