[Development] DBus signals for (dlclose'd) style plugin causing crash during application exit?

We can't provide binaries because the regression causes a deadlock in the 5.8 
branch build.

I keep hoping someone will get annoyed enough and actually investigate the 
regression. Because it doesn't happen on my computer.
