Correct, but the blame here lies with Microsoft.

As I said in the other email: vote with your money. If you're paying 
Microsoft, make your voice heard and/or stop paying by switching to another 
compiler.

Anyone who cares about performance should switch to state-of-the-art 
compilers, either Clang or GCC. I have stopped caring about the fine-tuning 
performance with MSVC.
