[17:00:43] <vohi[M]> jaheikki3: pong
[17:00:45] <akseli> jaheikki3: pong
[17:01:17] <frkleint> jaheikki3: pong
[17:01:31] <thiago> jaheikki3: pong
[17:03:32] <jaheikki3> Time to start qt release team meeting
[17:03:37] <jaheikki3> On agenda today:
[17:03:52] <jaheikki3> Qt 6.12 status and feature freeze exceptions
[17:04:02] <jaheikki3> Any additional item to the agenda?
[17:05:57] <jaheikki3> Ok, Qt 6.12 status
[17:06:16] <jaheikki3> Qt 6.12 beta1 release content is frozen and testing is ongoing
[17:06:23] <jaheikki3> Looking good so far
[17:06:32] <jaheikki3> The target is to release Qt 6.12 Beta1 by the end of this week
[17:06:53] <jaheikki3> And the target is to start Qt 6.12 API change review by the end of this week
[17:07:15] <thiago> does the qt.git integration need any help?
[17:07:16] <jaheikki3> Any comments or questions?
[17:07:49] <jaheikki3> thiago: no, it is working OK now
[17:09:05] <jaheikki3> then Qt 6.12 FF exception requests:
[17:09:44] <jaheikki3> There is the one from last meeting: non-separable blending modes (https://lists.qt-project.org/pipermail/development/2026-June/047205.html) and new one: Qt Task Tree's ListIterator (https://lists.qt-project.org/pipermail/development/2026-June/047212.html)
[17:10:13] <jaheikki3> vohi[M]: Do you know if there is a progress with the reviews for first one?
[17:10:46] <vohi[M]> non-separable blend modes: there have been comments, Aavit has reviewed and is in principle fine with having this in, given that there is little risk. OTOH, there's little traction with following up on those comments, so I don't sense any urgency here.
[17:11:03] <vohi[M]> IOW, I think this can wait until 6.13
[17:11:26] <vohi[M]> although if it merges very soon in to dev I'd also be ok with picking it back for Beta 2
[17:11:46] <vohi[M]> after that, the ship for exceptions should be considered sailed anyway
[17:13:36] <jaheikki3> Yes, agree
[17:14:22] <jaheikki3> So let's still wait until next meeting and if change is in dev it could be picked to 6.12 as well
[17:14:44] <jaheikki3> vohi[M]: what about the second one? It seems it is still missing +2 at least
[17:15:17] <vohi[M]> the task tree changes seem to be of the kind of nature and scope that we would fix as a result of header review comments. And given that TaskTree continues to be in TP, I'm fine with a bit more flexibility with refining the API
[17:15:51] <thiago> agreed
[17:16:20] <vohi[M]> so, I'd approve this request; but also there little traction to one of the changes that didn't compile, so better get going
[17:16:54] <jaheikki3> Ok, let's then give an ff exception for the task tree one.
[17:17:52] <jaheikki3> It was all at this time so let's end this meeting now and have next one Tue 16th June at this time. It will be the last meeting before summer break
[17:18:02] <jaheikki3> thanks for your participation, bye!
[17:18:12] <thiago> bye
[17:18:38] <vohi[M]> bye
[17:18:59] <frkleint> bye
