We currently don't support background processing on iOS. For saving and restoring you can use http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-5/qguiapplication.html#applicationState

The only way I can think of to use your own application delegate would be start off with a native Xcode project, and link in Qt as a third-party lib (an example is here: https://github.com/richardmg/HybridQtIosApp). But that might be much more cumbersome than your current solution, if that already works.

Hello everyone.

I have attempted to make a sample project that overrides the AppDelegate in a QtQuick iOS project. This should all you to do things like use the BackgroundFetch modes and such that you would do in an xcode project. I couldn't find a way to force Qt to link my own AppDelegate, and it is not created for you as part of the xcodeproject.

I'd appreciate any feedback, if you think this is a worthwhile effort, or if I'm doing it totally wrong.
