[Interest] Qt under the hoods

I'm looking for material to understand Qt/QML internals and I faced this
series of posts:

The posts are from the far year of 2012, so I don't know how up to date
it's and how useful it can be.
I know, at least, that in this meanwhile V8 was replaced by V4VM, that's
correct?
There's other changes in QML internals?

I'm also looking forward to pickup this book:

Any considerations about the topics or about the author?
