Is the 5.6.2 git branch always >= the equivalent snapshot ?

For example the 5.6.2 branch of http://code.qt.io/qt/qt5.git

and this snapshot?

http://download.qt.io/snapshots/qt/5.6/5.6.2/latest_src/ <http://download.qt.io/snapshots/qt/5.6/5.6.2/latest_src/>

I couple of days ago my git branch build of Qt 5.6.2 iOS was failing when using Xcode 8.0.

Qt commercial support indicated that 5.6.2 final release will support Xcode 8.0.

If the final packages of 5.6.2 are out there being tested, shouldn’t my git branch build using Xcode 8 have succeeded?
