And closed as "not our bug". The Apple CoreFoundation API seems to be at 
fault.

Sorry, there's nothing we can do.

Well, we could drop the code that uses the Apple API and rely solely on the 
underlying BSD API. I haven't looked at the code to see what properties we may 
start missing.
