So, their demo is old. They aren't going to sit there and update it each 
time. It didn't look odd to me. I spent several years coding like that 
when Qt believed in multiple inheritance, then they wanted to reach out 
to the dying language of Java . . . Perhaps you weren't around during 
the Trolltech days?

You should also be aware that the version of U++ they did that with is 
extremely outdated. It's kind of like those Qt wiki pages which sit 
around for a decade or more. Especially the ones for cross compiling to 
Raspberry Pi which don't tell you they used a 32-bit host system to hide 
all of the errors. That was great fun.
