[Interest] Touch frozen in Qt 5.15.9

Hi Poonam,

The issue I mentioned is not fixed in 5.15. Touch improvements made in Qt 6 can’t be pinned to a single patch.

Thank you for your response. Are touch-related issues fixed in the latest Qt 5.15.16?

Can you share the patch for 5.15.9 to fix touch related issues?

5.15.9 is quite outdated (current is 5.15.16).
A number of known touch-related issues have been fixed with https://codereview.qt-project.org/c/qt/qtbase/+/516578, included in 6.7.
Touch handling has been seen major improvements in Qt 6.
If the issue persists with a more recent Qt Version (I'd recommend 6.5), please file a bug report with a precise description and a minimal, compilable reproducer.

We are using Qt 5.15.9 commercial license with Yocto Dunfell configuration using evdev touch plugin on IMX6 based device.
Here are the exported environment variables being used:
export QT_QPA_EVDEV_TOUCHSCREEN_PARAMETERS=/dev/input/event0
export QT_QPA_PLATFORM = eglfs



However, touch/UI freeze issues are being seen intermittently.



Any recommendations on the environment variables if required to use export QT_QPA_EVDEV_TOUCHSCREEN_INPUT=/dev/input/event0 instead or any known issues in Qt 5.15.9?
