A session remembers what projects you have loaded, what
files/windows/... are open an so forth. Also a few settings I think.
Makes it easy to switch between working environments. If you have for
example two jobs each with it's own set of projects (maybe depending
on each other) you can easily switch between them without
closing/loading projects and whatnot to do so.
In Eclipse it's called a Workspace, Visual Studio calls it Solution.

Should be mentioned somewhere in the help though, I agree.
(And I guess it will be closer to actual release)

Oh yes please! I want one of those as well :)
